How the Set Goes In

Six steps for your installer, shown in the video and the illustration below.

A Daegu set, installed

01 Unbox the set

Lay the box flat with the hardware box facing up, then unpack and lay out every part, including the six L-casings.

02 Remove the shipping board

Unscrew and remove the plywood board from the bottom of the door.

03 Attach the handle

Attach the included handle to the magnetic-latch mortise lock, which comes installed.

04 Place the unit

Set the pre-hung frame and door into the prepared doorway.

05 Secure the brackets

Level the unit and secure it to the opening with the seven brackets attached to the frame.

06 Fit the L-casings

Fit the six pre-cut L-casings to finish the opening.

The hinges and lock are installed at our factory. Install following the installation guidelines supplied with your order; we recommend a qualified installer.

04 — Before you order

Check Three Things at Each Opening

The set is made for a defined wall range. Verify these before ordering.

The opening
Frame each rough opening 2 in. wider and 2 in. taller than the door (32 × 82 in. for a 30 × 80 in. door). Measure each prepared opening and include the dimensions in your request. We do our best to double-check them, but final dimensions are yours to confirm.
Finished wall thickness
4 1/2 to 5 in. The L-casings adjust within this range. Ask us before ordering if your walls fall outside it.
Swing and hand
The set is reversible, so confirm left or right hand and in-swing or out-swing for each opening on site.

Custom orders are made to your door schedule in our factory. The same door system is available on any custom order, in your sizes and finish, with L-casings sized to your walls; on custom orders, pre-hung is an option at extra cost. Custom door orders typically take 12–14 weeks from the start of production to delivery at your site.

05 — Ordering and delivery

How Ordering Works

Tell us the sizes, quantities and delivery location. We confirm stock, freight, sales tax and the total in writing.

Paid in full when you order
In-stock sets are paid in full when the order is placed, by Visa, Mastercard, American Express, bank transfer or check. Credit cards carry a 2.0% processing fee; debit cards carry none.
Freight, quoted with each order
Our partner trucking company or an LTL freight carrier, or pickup in Southern California arranged in advance. We don’t ship to Alaska, Hawaii, APO/FPO addresses or P.O. boxes.
Delivery
In-stock orders typically arrive 3 to 10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination and carrier.
On delivery
Note any visible damage on the delivery receipt before signing. Report all damage, shortages or wrong items, including damage found after unpacking, with photos within 48 hours of delivery.
