02 — How ordering works
How an Order Works
Four steps from your requirements to delivery at your site. Many door suppliers don’t show their process or a lead time up front. We put both in writing.
Send Your Requirements
Drawings, door schedules, reference photos or a short description. Unknowns are fine. Attach up to 5 files: PDF, photos, Excel or Word.
We Define the Scope
Slab, frame, casing, hardware, finishes and preparation: the scope your project needs, confirmed item by item.
Written Quote
A quote based on the confirmed scope, with open items listed separately. The price in your confirmed order is the price we honor for that scope.
Made to Order and Delivered
Produced to the approved specification, then shipped. You get an email update at each main stage, through to delivery. See the updates ↓
Lead time
Custom Doors: 12–14 Weeks
Custom door orders typically take 12–14 weeks from the start of production to delivery at your site. Production starts once your final specification is signed and your 50% deposit has cleared. Lead times for aluminum entry doors are confirmed in your quote.

Why 12–14 Weeks Is Worth ItMade in Our Factory, Handled by a U.S. Team
Buying straight from a factory in China usually means language gaps, missed details and no one in the U.S. accountable when something goes wrong. With us, the wait buys you doors from our own factory with no middleman, and our U.S. team handles the rest.
- No middlemanYour interior doors are made to order in our own factory in China, not bought through a trading company.
- One team in betweenOur U.S. team handles every exchange with the factory, from drawings to changes, so you don’t have to manage the factory yourself.
- Checked before it shipsOrders are checked at our factory before packing, and you see photos of your doors and packing before shipment.
- A U.S. company behind your orderDamage and warranty claims are handled by our U.S. team, under our written Terms.

03 — Order updates
You Hear From Us at Every Stage
Import orders often go quiet between the deposit and the delivery truck. Ours don’t. At each main stage, our order system emails you what happened, what it means for your dates, and what comes next.
- Drawings and specifications approvedYour approved specification is on file, and the next step is the deposit.
- Deposit receivedYour order is scheduled for production.
- In productionYour delivery window, in writing.
- QC photos readyPhotos of your doors and packing before the order ships.
- In transitYour order has left the factory, with your delivery window restated.
- Released for deliveryCarrier, tracking and estimated delivery date.
- DeliveredA reminder to inspect before installation, with your QC photos for comparison.
If the schedule changes due to circumstances outside our control, we let you know, with the updated dates. In-stock orders get three updates: payment received, released with tracking, and delivered.
Sample email04 — Why BARAVEN
Your Door Supplier, From Our Factory to Your Job Site
Buying doors overseas often means big claims, loose coordination and a “factory” that turns out to be a trading company. Our U.S. team works directly with our factory in China.
Your Sizes, Approved Before Production
You confirm the final sizes, handing and hardware for each door, and approve the shop drawings before production starts. Your approved drawings define the order, and production follows them. We do our best to double-check your drawings, but final dimensions are yours to confirm.

Our Factory, NOT a Trading Company
Your interior doors are made in our factory in China, in Dongguan since 2002 and at our Guangxi production base since 2018. Watch our production on video; for container-volume projects, we open our factory for visits and audits. If you ask, the U.S. team member responsible for your order arranges the visit, meets you there and walks you through.

Import Handled for You
You buy from a U.S. company. We arrange production, ocean freight and import through to delivery at your site. Your quote states the delivery basis and what it includes.

China-Patented Panel Bending, Edges in One Piece
Our factory’s China-patented panel-bending process folds the veneered panel around each edge in one piece and bonds the corner with glue, instead of applying edge banding. There’s no separate edge strip to lift or chip, and no seam at the edge.
Our door edges, frames and casings are made this way, and our plywood wall panels use the same process. It also helps keep natural wood veneer doors competitively priced, made to your sizes over a solid core (particleboard or solid wood) or a hollow core.

05 — Supply options
From Slab to Complete Package
Go beyond the frame: the complete package adds the casings and hardware preparation at our factory, with the hinges, lock and handle you specify, or pre-boring for hardware you supply. Choose how much comes done.
Knockdown is our standard. Pre-hung is an option at extra cost: the door hung in its frame at our factory, the full door in one box per opening. On knockdown orders, the complete package arrives flat-packed and pre-bored for your hardware, for assembly on site.
Hardware is your choice: the hinges, lock and handle you specify, or pre-boring for hardware you source yourself.
In stock, ready to ship from California: our pre-hung set, five sizes, one box per opening.
- Real wenge veneer over a solid core, factory-machined for its lock and hinges, and pre-finished
- Pre-hung in its plywood frame and jamb (no MDF), 7 installation brackets attached
- 2 adjustable 115 mm concealed hinges, installed
- Magnetic-latch mortise lock with key and privacy function, installed
- Handle set, attached on site
- 6 pre-cut telescoping L-casings
On site (pre-hung): attach the handle, set the unit in the opening and secure it, then fit the L-casings.

A slab is the door alone; a door with frame adds the pre-cut frame parts.
Any combination you need: natural wood veneer, laminate, paint or another finish, over a solid core (particleboard or solid wood) or a hollow core.
Not seeing what you need? Send it: any design, material, size or combination. We work to your specification, even if it isn’t listed here, and your quote confirms it before you order.

Don’t see what you need? Moldings, flooring or other building materials for your project: tell us what you’re looking for, and we’ll check whether we can make or source it for you. Ask us →

06 — Questions
Questions Buyers Ask
Straight answers to what trade buyers ask first.
Is there a catalog or stock to choose from?
There is no fixed catalog: most orders are made to the specification confirmed with you. To choose, see the configurations, hardware and finishes on Custom Interior Doors and the entry-door range on Exterior Doors. Ready-to-ship in-stock door sets are also available.
Is there a minimum order?
Minimums depend on the specification and are confirmed in your quote. In-stock sets have no minimum order.
How does payment work?
For custom door orders, a 50% deposit starts production; the balance is due before release. In-stock sets are paid in full when the order is placed. Wall panel and furniture terms are confirmed in your quote.
Where are your doors made?
Interior doors are made in our factory in China. Exterior doors are made mainly in our factory; on some projects we recommend a partner factory where its materials or processes give better value, and aluminum doors come from partner factories under exclusive agreements. Every partner factory is one we have reviewed in person, and all already export overseas. Whichever factory makes your order, you deal only with our U.S. team.
Who will we be working with?
Our U.S. team in Orange County, California. BARAVEN is Korean American-owned and veteran-owned, led by founder Damon Jung.
Do you supply fire-rated doors?
Yes, by project. For openings that need a rating, we source labeled doors from partner factories that already supply the U.S. market. Tell us which openings need a rating and what your project requires.
Can you provide compliance documents?
Tell us what your project requires, and we confirm it in your quote.
Do you ship nationwide?
Yes, to job sites across the continental U.S. Freight is quoted with each order: our partner trucking company or LTL freight, or pickup in Southern California. We don’t ship to Alaska, Hawaii, APO/FPO addresses or P.O. boxes. Note any visible damage on the delivery receipt before signing, and report all damage, shortages or wrong items, including damage found after unpacking, with photos within 48 hours of delivery.
Can I see a sample before ordering?
Yes. Ask for a sample in your quote request; you cover the shipping. Our IBS 2026 display doors are at our warehouse in La Mirada, California: schedule a visit, or ask for a video call.
